Most likely will be heading over to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston again tomorrow, so that should be fun. Also planning on hitting the Alamo Drafthouse for their free anime night.
Saw a double feature of Dawn of the Dead (2004) and The Butterfly Effect yesterday. The original DotD is still my favorite movie of all time, and this remake comes nowhere close to it, in my opinion. Character development was gone, social commentary was gone too. The only characters I really liked were Andy (the guy across the street) and Ving Rhames' character. I've also come to the conclusion that no, in fact, I do NOT like running zombies who seem to have powers they never had when they were alive. I excuse 28 Days Later because they were infected with Rage, but these zombies had no excuse. Whatever happened to rigor mortis? They didn't need an upgrade. They needed a fucking sedative.
I much preferred The Butterfly Effect and we wound up sneaking into that one all sneaky-like.
I'm trying to finish up a library book, which I am enjoying immensely so far. I almost don't want to finish it.
I got in a few free DVDs today, Soylent Green, Dead & Rotting and Vengeance of the Dead. I also got my boxset of MST3K Vol. 5 in from Amazon, and it is very sexy, indeed.
This is where the fish lives.
